Departments, teams or channels may have a moderator or moderation practices that are specific to a Slack Workspace or Slack Channel. In these cases, the following chat moderation practices should be considered:
- Provide clarity on the intended topics of discussion in a channel to all Slack participants in a department, team or channel.
- Consistently provide Slack best practices to all users, and consistently share any department or team-specific guidelines and resources to all participants.
- Monitor and escalate any potential issues resulting from Slack participation to leadership or other appropriate parties in alignment with relevant company policies.
